According to Gartner, "By 2023, 40% of DevOps teams will augment application and infrastructure monitoring tools with artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) platform capabilities."* Due to the rapid adoption of digital transformation, and the continuous growth in data volume generated by networks and applications, AIOps has become a critical component in the IT world to help automate previously manual networking tasks. AIOps provides an abundance of benefits including anomaly detection, event correlation and root cause analysis (RCA). Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) leaders are looking at AIOps platforms to improve the manageability, performance and uptime of their networks.
It’s clear that AIOps is on the rise. That’s why today, I am extremely excited to share that we are releasing powerful new AIOps enhancements on Palo Alto Networks Prisma SD-WAN, the industry’s first next-generation SD-WAN. In this new release of Prisma SD-WAN 5.5, we are introducing three new features that will help dramatically simplify your network operations:
- Event correlation and analysis using AIOps.
- Improved dashboard views.
- Telemetry exporting to third-party collectors.
Event Correlation and Analysis With Policy Control
In October 2020, we first introduced our event correlation and analysis capabilities, which minimized the number of alarms to a single event, helping simplify your network operations. Today, I’m happy to share that we have doubled down on that effort by incorporating further event policy control capabilities. The policy control on event correlation and analysis provides admins greater control over events generated on your network with automatic prioritization. With this ability, admins can easily pinpoint issues and speed up response time for problem remediation.
This is particularly useful when admins are using staging sites or are encountering a maintenance window. Instead of constantly getting bombarded with alarms from these sites, the policy control enhancement on the event correlation and analysis feature allows admins to suppress the alarms generated to minimize the noise.
Improved Dashboard Views
In addition, we are also releasing new dashboard views on Prisma SD-WAN to improve visibility on your network. With the ability to view circuit analytics and device interface statistics, admins can more effectively plan for capacity and troubleshoot problems.
Telemetry Exporting to Third-party Collectors
This new release for Prisma SD-WAN also includes the ability to export device telemetry such as application and network health metrics to third-party collectors for further analysis. As a result, organizations can view advanced reporting metrics and system metadata to deepen their analysis in their network operations.
With organizations continuously scaling, it’s a no brainer that businesses are now in search of ways to simplify their network operations. Here at Palo Alto Networks, we’ve made it a top priority to ensure simplicity in our Prisma SD-WAN solution.
